Mid Kent Golf Day Raises £8,000

Kevin Cawston of Cawston Roofing Ltd recently ran the Mid-Kent golf day for Wooden Spoon Kent at Chart Hills GC.

There were 18 4ball teams playing on a very difficult golf course with more bunkers than you can imagine!

The teams were blessed with a beautiful sunny day and teed off at 13.00hrs for a shotgun start. There were bacon rolls and coffee before golf as well as full use of the driving range.

An excellent dinner was had in the club’s ballroom where the golfers were well entertained by MC and Auctioneer Ian Richards.

A huge thank you to our many generous donors and participants in the auction as well as to Kevin and his crew. The final amount raised was just over £8,000.00, which is an absolutely amazing result.
