Wooden Spoon join #GivingTuesdayNow in Global Day of Giving and Unity
#GivingTuesdayNow is a new global day of giving and unity that will take place on 5 May 2020 – in addition to the regularly scheduled Dec 1, 2020 #GivingTuesday – as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.
At a time when we are all experiencing the pandemic, generosity is what brings people together across the globe. Generosity gives everyone power to make a positive change in the lives of others and is a fundamental value anyone can act on. It’s a day for everyone around the world to stand together and give back in all ways, no matter who or where we are.
Wooden Spoon, the children’s charity of rugby, is participating in #GivingTuesdayNow to continue to help vulnerable children and young people in local communities across the UK & Ireland during the COVID-19 crisis.
But we can’t do this without you!
People can show their generosity in a variety of ways during #GivingTuesdayNow, whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbour out, advocating an issue or sharing a skill, every act of generosity counts and everyone has something to give.
You can directly support Wooden Spoon on #GivingTuesdayNow by donating, becoming a member or taking part in a virtual challenge.
Not only do we need your support, we need your help to spread the word. Join the movement on 5 May and use the hashtag #GivingTuesdayNow to tell your friends and family why you believe in our work and encourage them to support us too!
There are lots of ways you can support Wooden Spoon during these challenging times. You can donate, join our membership scheme or take part in a virtual challenge.
