A Successful Golf Day for Eastern Counties

The sun certainly shone on the righteous on this occasion, as Wooden Spoon Eastern Counties golf day was played in five hours of dry and sunny weather, on a day of high winds and torrential rain.

The course was in excellent condition, and good scores were recorded. The winner of the individual competition was Ian Howe from Cromer Golf Club, with an excellent score of 42 points playing off 13.

The team competition was won by the team led by long time supporter, Clive Frampton, together with Danny Grieves, Mark Kingston and Brian Doherty they scored 86 points.

The golf was followed by an excellent dinner and entertainment from Bob Webb.

A very successful day that raised over £3,000 for the region.

Many thanks must go to Stoke by Nayland G&L, Aveat Heating, Holland & Barrett, Nethergate Wines and Martin Brown, for the provision of auction items and raffle prizes.
