All change at Wooden Spoon Sussex

WOODEN Spoon Sussex committee has a new chairman with Sandy Fleming, the region’s long serving Secretary, taking on the role from April 2019.

Sandy has taken over from Bob Rogers who retired on 31st March after eight and a half years as Chairman of Sussex.  Bob succeeds Mick Cleary as Sussex’s Honorary President.

Sandy Fleming, Secretary since 2008, said: “I am very much looking forward to the challenges of the future.”

The Sussex Committee thanked Bob for all his hard work and leadership.

Bob Rogers said:  “I am delighted with the progress made in the region and that  20 of the 23 projects funded by Sussex were completed and opened during my time as Chairman.” He added: “Whilst leaving the Committee, after a stint of 12 years, I will be happy to continue to organise the 2019 Christmas Lunch, which will be Sussex’s and my 10th such fund raising event.”
