The Difference You Helped Us Make
2017-2018 was a fantastic year for the children’s charity of rugby, with around £2.5 million raised which enabled Wooden Spoon to fund 71 projects throughout the UK and Ireland. Most importantly this made a positive difference to 139,000 children and young people with disabilities, or facing disadvantage, and their families.
A flick through the pages of the Impact Report 2017-2018 shows that our work continues to have a major impact in local communities. This would not have been possible without the help of the many volunteers and supporters who continue to give generously or their time.
We are indebted to the dedicated regional volunteer groups who work tirelessly to fund life-changing projects. Many of our supporters tell us that what really sets Wooden Spoon apart is that for every £1 raised locally, 100% of this is used to fund local projects.
Within the report you will see how the projects supported three years ago continue to make a difference today in local communities across the UK and Ireland. We also go behind the scenes at some of them to hear first hand from the projects themselves, the beneficiaries and the families supported.
