Peterborough RFC host 12th Wooden Spoon Lunch

A WILD and windy day was the backdrop at Peterborough RFC Fortress Fengate for Wooden Spoon Eastern Counties annual charity lunch before the fixture with Towcestrians RFC

About 80 supporters turned up and enjoyed an excellent lunch followed by a few kind words from Club Chairman Alan Graham.

Eastern Counties regional chairman, Seamus Farrelly, gave the guests an account of the projects completed and funds raised in the year, with a special appeal for helpers to join the regional committee. There was a raffle which raised £600.00 for the work of the charity in the region.

The game was a very one-sided event with the home side running out 20-6 victors.

A big thank you to all at Peterborough RFC for their continued support over many years and a special thank you to Hanna Senior the events co-ordinator at the club for organising the splendid lunch.
