Chiverton RDA welcomes new arrivals

Chiverton RDA ponies

Freddie and George arriving at Chiverton RDA.

THE PONIES, Freddie and George, were warmly welcomed to Chiverton Riding for the Disabled’s home recently. Wooden Spoon Cornwall were delighted to present the new additions to the Chiverton RDA family on Thursday 15th March 2018.

Wooden Spoon representatives were invited by Diane Hirst (RDA Chairman) to meet ponies George (black, 5) and Freddie (skewbald, 13) and to see the amazing role they will have at the RDA Centre in providing fun, laughter and enjoyment to so many children with a variety of disabilities.

It was a truly wonderful and emotional experience for everyone and highlighted exactly what Wooden Spoon is all about.

The bond these ponies and children share is obvious for all to see. As well as the joy and happiness the ponies give to these children during their visits, they are also invaluable in helping to develop the children’s confidence, their core strength and balance and communication skills.

Wooden Spoon Cornwall would like to thank all members and supporters who have made this donation possible. And we would also like to thank the children Rosie, Jenna and Cody who attended and met the ponies on the day.
