Everyone enjoyed a sunny and sociable afternoon with the ponies taking centre stage in the proceedings.

The portable classroom was made possible with a £12,500 donation from Wooden Spoon Devon and provides a much needed warm and quiet space for the children and young people who use the charity’s services.

Dr Hannah Burgon, founder and CEO of Sirona said that the classroom is already in constant use and has made a big difference to the charity and the services it offers. Additionally, it will become the first building when they move to a new more permanent site at Dartington in 2018.

Sirona Therapeutic Horsemanship provides equine-based therapeutic and educational activities to young people, whether with a disability, disadvantage or dealing with social exclusion. The team of therapists work with a specially trained yard of horses and ponies and aim to help people find new skills, develop trust, gain confidence and work towards more positive life outcomes.
