Veteran rugby teams from around the globe will come together in Cardiff this summer, to take part in the 21st Golden Oldies World Rugby Festival.
Taking place on 21st – 28th August, over 100 rugby teams from 25 countries will come together to celebrate rugby values of Fun, Friendship and Fraternity, and Wooden Spoon is delighted to be chosen as the festival’s benefiting charity.
Regional Chairman for Wales, Huw Thomas said: “It’s fantastic that the Golden Oldies World Rugby Festival is coming to Cardiff. As the world’s longest-running Vets rugby tournament, Wooden Spoon are proud to be partnered with this great event.”
With Men’s and Women’s grades for all playing abilities, the festival is for anyone and everyone over the age of 35. As well as opportunity to take to the pitch alongside rugby legends, participants will also make history at the Millennium Stadium at the Finale Awards Dinner.
