Wooden Spoon Yorkshire Six Nations Dinner

Still going strong in its 11th year, Wooden Spoon Yorkshire recently enjoyed its popular Six Nations dinner raising vital funds for disadvantaged and disabled children in South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire.

Hosted by Roger Dakin, the tried and trusted six course dinner (one from each nation) was exquisitely delivered by David Baldwin’s chef and their superb team. Following Roger’s anecdotes and amusing stories, speakers Gareth Chilcott and John Parrott were both brilliant in their own way – John entertained with behind the scenes stories from the world of snooker and TV punditry, whilst Gareth amused the audience with tales from his club and England rugby days.

On the night Wooden Spoon Yorkshire Chairman, Stuart Watson presented Bill Reichwald with an award to thank him for years of sterling efforts on behalf of the charity. A brilliant £8,500 was raised and our thanks goes to all who attended and supported, to Dave and Bill and those who generously sponsored this event.
