Lunch on Brighton Pier raises over £6,500 for local disadvantaged children

Wooden Spoon Sussex held their extremely popular annual Lunch at one of Britain’s most famous coastal landmarks, Brighton Pier.

Hosted by Sussex Chairman Bob Rogers and fellow committee members, 200 Wooden Spoon supporters tucked in to the traditional Brighton classic of fish and chips whilst enjoying entertainment from well-known comedian Ian Richards. Attendees included representatives from 16 Sussex Rugby clubs, Sussex RFU and Wooden Spoon Arctic Challenger James Harding, who very kindly donated one of his Arctic Challenge shirts to the auction.

The lunch was a huge success, raising over £6,500 for disadvantaged and disabled children in the local community. Thanks goes to everyone who attended and plans are already under way for the next one!
