Wooden Spoon Leicestershire holds their biggest fundraiser to date!

Wooden Spoon Leicestershire held their 9th St George’s Day Celebrations at the Cow and Plough in Stoughton. This was the regions most successful fundraising event to date, raising over £6,000! Wooden Spoon Leicestershire Chairman, Malcolm Foulkes-Arnold warmly welcomed our hundred guests to the Cow and Plough and spoke about the work Wooden Spoon does in the community

Tenor Mark Luther entertained the audience with patriotic sing-a-long tunes such as Jerusalem, Rule Britannia and Swing Low Sweet Chariot. A fantastic lunch was served and the customary raffle raised over a £1,000. After lunch Ron Gould’s “Rocking Ronnies” played a mix of excellent music to keep the party rocking. Thanks to all who came and helped organise the event.
