Wooden Spoon Devon opens a new project at Cann Bridge Special School

A new playground was officially opened recently at Cann Bridge Special School. Our Devon committee granted £5000 towards the cost of creating an outdoor gym in the grounds of this local special school.

Cann Bridge caters for 80 pupils aged 3–19 years old who experience severe learning difficulties or complex needs from East Cornwall and Devon. The new outdoor gym will help resolve challenges the school had with lack of suitable equipment, as it provides a range of heavy-duty, fixed exercise and training equipment including rowing machines, skiers, stepping machines and bikes.

The opening was well attended and we are grateful to Albion captain, Jake Murphy, who presented our Wooden Spoon plaque to the school to commemorate the opening.
