Wooden Spoon Cornwall is back with a bang!

With a break in activity in our Cornwall region, Wooden Spoon Cornwall came back with a bang recently with their successful fundraising dinner held at the Hotel Bristol. The event enticed more than 160 guests including local rugby players and supporters of Wooden Spoon.

Rugby World Cup Final referee, Nigel Owens, a regular supporter of the charity, hosted the evening entertaining guests with stories and anecdotes after dinner.

The dinner was a great success raising over £3,500 on the night, which will go towards a local project, ‘The Learning Zone’ at Curnow School in Redruth for children with severe learning disabilities. The project will provide facilities enabling children and young people to learn basic carpentry, construction, painting and decorating.
