Wooden Spoon Chilterns opens state of the art Sensory Pod

WOODEN Spoon Chilterns was proud to officially open a special state-of-the-art project at Littledown Special School recently, named The Wooden Spoon Sensory Pod.

The school which is based in Slough, Berkshire, specifically supports children and families with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties, enabling them to gain the greatest possible access to learning and achievement.

The new technically advanced sensory equipment provides children with a stimulating interactive experience, combining touch, interactive screens, sounds, colours and smells. This type of equipment encourages development in social, emotional, language and sensory skills while creating a fun and enjoyable atmosphere the children can thrive in.

Wooden Spoon Chilterns generously granted £48,000 to the new Sensory Pod, which is making a life-changing difference to local families.

Thanks to everyone who supports Chilterns, with your help we have made this fantastic and innovative project possible.
