Rugby International opens new sensory room for Wooden Spoon

Scotland Rugby Internationalist Grant Gilchrist opened Wooden Spoon Scotland’s most recent project, a new sensory room for Ballumbie School in Dundee.

Wooden Spoon Scotland granted £15,000 towards the sensory room which will help support pupils with special needs. The project was a team effort of both staff and parents who worked hard to create the room for the children.

Education Convener Councillor Stewart Hunter said: “This is a fantastic space that will benefit the whole school. The grant from Wooden Space has helped us to buy specialist equipment that transforms the room into a calm and interactive environment. I would like to thank Wooden Spoon, staff and parents for all their hard work on this project.”
