Hertfordshire Golf Day raises over £4,000

15 teams competed at Wooden Spoon Hertfordshire’s 8th successive golf day at the lovely parkland course of Knebworth Golf Club.

A good day was had by all with players enjoying a selection of hot dogs, fruit, chocolate and drinks prepared and served by David Griffiths and Mick O’Shea from the magnificent Wooden Spoon tent!

After a great day of golf, a lovely three course meal followed in the spacious conservatory, with great entertainment provided by the talented Elspeth Hanson, a violinist with Bond. The prize giving welcomed the regions new Honorary President, Ben Ransom (England U20 IRB Junior World Cup & 45 appearances for Saracens) to present to the winning teams. Raising over £4000 for disadvantaged and disabled children in Hertfordshire, our sincere thanks goes out to all those who played and supported.
